Action Quake 2 Questions

¬ Where can I download Action Quake 2?The official version can be found on

Official Action Quake 2 page but since it hasn't been updated in years there are better options out there, like

Action Quake 2 Install for example. This version includes almost everything you need to get started, included with the install are some of the most played maps. More maps can be downloaded on

Action Quake Map Depot and

Lahtela Action Quake 2 maps. Another full download of aq2 is

Axion Quake (direct download) but it doesn't have a real homepage.

¬ What is Action Quake2?Action Quake II is a multiplayer-only mod for Quake II that transforms the standard deathmatch into something reminiscent of a good John Woo movie. With this mod you get altered damage and weapons systems, and weapons stay with a player until he dies. Finally, players have to make do with the limited supply of weapons and ammo clips scattered about the level. Quakers can choose from an A-list of action stars to play, such as John McClaine, Rambo, or Chow Yun-Fat.
